From press release of American President Lines, maybe 1954?: "Dr. Lyle Gibson, San Francisco State College professor, is shown on deck of American President Lines' SS President Cleveland, which will leave San Francisco June 20 and Los Angeles June 22 on the Fifth Annual Summer Adventure Study Cruise. Dr. Gibson will lead the tour, on which as many as six college credits can be obtained. The cruise on the luxury liner, which will visit Honolulu, Kobe, Yokohama, Manila and Hong Kong, offers an opportunity for painless and pleasant education -- and lots of fun."
